It's Elvis's Birthday: A Little Less Conversation - A Little More Tattoos

Elvis was a beloved singer, actor, and icon. His signature voice is still often played on the radio. His successful career, swift dance moves, and humble personality earned him the title of the King of Rock N Roll. Today marks Elvis's birthday, he would have been 85 years old, in his honor we put together this blog with Elvis inspired tattoos and a few facts about Mr. Presley. 

Elvis' hit song "It's Now or Never" inspired a man who, at the time, was in jail to pursue a career in music after his release.  That man would go onto be American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer - Barry White.

Aside from being a gifted singer, Elvis was also an actor who was starred in over 20 films, including Viva Las Vega, Blue Hawaii, and King Creole.

Elvis could be quite the jokester. While performing "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" on stage he would frequently change the lyric, "do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?", to "Do you look at your bald head and wish you had hair?"

Elvis helped cure polio - well, kind of... Jonas Salk invented the cure for polio, but doctors struggled to get teenagers to take the vaccine. Enter Elvis - he posed for the press and got a polio vaccine from doctors and after those incidents of the disease went down 90%.

At the peak of his fame, Elvis was drafted and served in the U.S military. Though he was allegedly offered special treatment, he turned it down.
