I bought this after buying my partner an XXL armrest from the other company. You know the one. And she really loved it so I thought that I would get one too and they would be relatively the same. Now, it does serve its purpose, but the placement of the knobs to adjust the slope of the rest are very close to the cushion and at its lowest position they touch the adjustments for height, which makes it a really tight spot to get your hand in and turn the knobs. The knobs to adjust the slope of the cushion are also made of plastic, and don’t tighten enough for the cushion to be totally stable. If I rest on it whatsoever it tilts and I have to reposition it again even having it as tight as it will go, it moves with very little effort. I worry that tightening it any further will break the plastic knob and make it unusable. I plan to upgrade the hardware on my own to avoid that being an issue, but for the price, being the same as the other XXL armrests on the market that have metal hardware and are much more stable, I was a bit disappointed. I’ve managed to work with it well enough, but I think a few minor improvements to the hardware materials and positioning would make a big improvement on the functionality.
