Since January 4th 2022, a new EU regulation is effecting tattoo artists all over Europe. 

WHAT’S THE BAN? 

This REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) legislation bans the use of 4,000 chemicals, some of which are used in the most popular tattoo and permanent makeup inks. 

HOW IS THE INDUSTRY RESPONDING? 

In response to the ban, leading tattoo ink manufacturers are already pioneering the way to help European artists to continue practicing their craft.. 

The following manufacturers are coming out with REACH-compliant ink formulas that tattoo artists can legally use in Europe under the new legislation.    

WORLD FAMOUS LIMITLESS TATTOO INK  

 The Ink Line: Available since January 10th, the new World Famous Limitless  line offers over 100 REACH-compliant tattoo inks.  

The Mission: World Famous, an industry leader, seeks to provide European artists with the tattoo inks they reach for on a daily basis, despite the ban. The Limitless well-rounded brand is currently only available to artists in the EU, but will be globally available later in 2022.

The Ink Line: Available since January 10th, the new Kuro Sumi Imperial ink line offers over 25 REACH-compliant tattoo inks.  

The Mission: Pioneers of tattooing tradition, artist-favorite brand Kuro Sumi aims to provide artists in the EU with quality tattoo inks they can count on under this new ban.
