The old school artists love their coils, but believe the rotary is excelling the craft insanely fast, and wish more old school artists would learn to appreciate advancement in technology a little more. Rotary machines and carts are, in my opinion, changing the whole game. Hand fatigue is definitely a major downfall of coils. It’s like running a jackhammer for hours compared to a rotary pen wich is like running a bic pen. My vote is rotary!!

Such a tough choice!!!
I’m still on the fence about this for lining. For shading though, 100% Rotary, but only because there’s less hand fatigue. I’ll still bust out my Micky Sharpz machine for filling things in and smooth blends once in a while, but after using rotaries almost exclusively for the last 5 or 6 years, you really feel the weight of a coil.
