Know Your Options - Small Business Relief

In the United States, small businesses make up almost half of the workforce, this includes tattoo shops. We want to be a resource for these artists and owners as they face government issues shut-downs and do what we can to help you navigate options.
What is the SBA?
SBA stands for the Small Business Administration in the United States created with a mission to help small businesses and owners succeed. They also help out small businesses after disasters, they have recently added options for owners struggling from closings caused by COVID-19.
What can the SBA do to help?
Business owners in the U.S are eligible to apply for low-income loans due to COVID-19. The Economic Injury Disaster Loan can provide select businesses that are currently experiencing temporary loss of revenue with an advance of up to $10,000. According to their website, this type of loan does not require repayment.

If a small business has an urgent need for cash while waiting for decision and disbursement on Economic Injury Disaster Loan, they may qualify for an SBA Express Disaster Bridge Loan. You can also try to find a location near you or call the disaster relief hotline at 1-800-659-2955. They can also be reached by email at Depending on your location the process might vary. To apply now we've added a direct link to their website application.
Another option is the U.S Department of Labor.  The Wage and Hour Division is providing info on common obstacles people might be facing. For instance, job-protected leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act and paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). The  FFCRA will also help by giving all American businesses with fewer than 500 employees funds to provide employees with paid leave, to use for their own health needs or the needs of their family members.
As we go through this time we want everyone to know we're here with you and your families. We look forward to providing our artists and shop owners with more helpful tips and resources.  Click Here to access all forms to download.
